Planning Guide
Rice Farming Equipment & Workflow Guide
Plan rice machinery around field preparation, seedling supply, transplanting and harvesting. Use this guide to describe the field and workflow, then compare exact machines in the approved catalogue. Each model keeps its own specifications and application limits.
Plan the job, then compare models
Identify the operation to mechanize, field access, soil and water conditions, crop, existing equipment and working schedule. For planting, add seedling and row-spacing requirements. For harvesting, explain how the crop will be collected and moved from the field.

Planning and selection guide
Start with the field and the operation
Describe the farm as a working site, not only an area figure. Provide field dimensions, entrances, bunds, access routes and obstacles. Explain the soil and water conditions during the proposed operation and where machines will be loaded, unloaded and maintained.
Identify the task that needs equipment and the machines already used before and after it. Field preparation, transplanting and harvesting are different jobs. Do not compare a tiller, transplanter and combine as if one could replace the others.
Plan paddy preparation and tillage
The 1GZL-230 self-propelled crawler paddy rotary tiller is the approved tillage example in the current catalogue. Review its own product information against the proposed job. Describe the soil, water condition, required implement task and access constraints before requesting configuration guidance.
Ground support and the working condition at the time of operation still need to be checked. A crawler description does not establish universal suitability for every mud depth or field. Do not substitute the specifications of a different tiller simply because both machines are placed in a rice-machinery category.
Match seedlings, spacing and the transplanting workflow
The current approved transplanting models are 2ZG-630A, a six-row wheeled transplanter, and 2ZG-830A, an eight-row wheeled transplanter. Compare their individual dimensions, planting settings and other adopted specifications. Row count alone does not decide compatibility with a field or seedling system.
Describe the seedling preparation method, seedling condition and desired row and plant spacing. Explain field shape, access, water management and how seedlings will be supplied during work. Ask the supplier to check the complete combination instead of assuming every seedling format or spacing arrangement is supported.
Plan harvesting and collection together
The approved combine-harvester examples are 4LZ-5.0 and 4LZ-0.7A. Check the specifications of each model, crop application and working and transport requirements. The 4LZ family name does not mean every historical model in that family is approved or uses the same configuration.
Identify the crop, its condition, the collection method and how harvested material will leave the field. Include any access or unloading constraints and the machinery used in the next handling stage. Compatibility must come from the relevant model information and configuration review, not solely from the name of the catalogue category.
Keep reaping and other crop requirements separate
If the project calls for a separate reaping operation, describe the required output and following work stages. Do not assume a reaper and a combine deliver the same result or can be substituted without checking the workflow. The current approved rice directory does not contain a released reaper model.
Likewise, identify any crop other than rice explicitly. A machine being grouped under rice machinery does not confirm compatibility with every crop. Do not transfer an application claim from one 4LZ configuration to another.
Prepare the procurement inquiry
Include the operation, field photographs or layout, soil and water condition, crop, existing equipment and the intended working schedule. For transplanting, add seedling and spacing requirements. For harvesting, add the collection and onward-handling arrangement.
State the destination, quantity and options or documents you need to discuss. The Product / Model field is required. Enter the chosen model, or write “Selection advice – rice machinery” if you need help choosing equipment. Put field and workflow details in Requirements. Ask the quotation to state the selected equipment and any application conditions still to be checked.
Common procurement questions
Are six-row and eight-row transplanters interchangeable?
They are separate models. Compare the adopted model specifications with the seedling system, field access and spacing requirements. A larger row count alone is not a complete selection rule.
Does the rice-machinery category confirm suitability for another crop?
No. Check the application of the exact model and configuration. A category label cannot extend a crop claim to other models or unresolved historical configurations.
Where can I find currently approved models?
Use the rice-machinery catalogue and its tillage, transplanting and combine-harvester categories. The live product cards reflect the existing release gate; historical names in older guide text do not confer approval.
